MindMap Gallery Perfusion Nursing Concept Map
The blood perfusion process is depicted in this perfusion nursing concept map. Non-invasive blood perfusion measurement systems have been developed and tested in animal models and phantom tissue. The probes measure heat transfer and temperature response to an arbitrary thermal event (convective or conductive) imposed on the tissue surface using a small sensor with a laminated flat thermocouple. Heat flux data are compared with a mathematical tissue model to estimate blood perfusion and thermal contact resistance. This perfusion nursing concept map shows that the perfusion probes were tested for repeatability and sensitivity using a phantom tissue test stand and exposed rat liver tests.
