Transformer secondary transportation
Can be transported by roller rolling and winch hauling
When lifting the transformer, the rigging must be inspected and qualified, and the wire rope must be hung on the hook of the oil tank. The lifting ring on the upper part of the transformer top cover is only used for lifting core inspection. It is strictly forbidden to use this lifting ring to lift the entire transformer.
When transporting the transformer, high and low voltage insulating porcelain bottles should be covered to protect it from damage.
During the transportation of the transformer, there should be no severe shock or vibration. When using mechanical traction, the traction point should be below the center of gravity of the transformer, and the transportation inclination angle should not exceed 15° to prevent tilting from deforming the internal structure.
When using a jack to lift a large transformer, the jack should be placed on the jack bracket of the oil tank. The lifting operations should be coordinated, the force on each point should be even, and the pads should be placed in time.

Power transmission trial operation
When the transformer is put into use for the first time, it can be closed by impact at full voltage. The impact closing should be put in from the high voltage side.
The transformer should undergo no-load and full-voltage impact closing for 5 times, and there should be no abnormality; after receiving power for the first time, the duration should not be less than 10 minutes; during full-voltage impact closing, the excitation inrush should not cause malfunction of the protection device
After the oil-immersed transformer is charged, check that all welds and connection surfaces of the oil system should not see any oil leakage.
Before parallel operation of transformers, the phase should be checked
During the trial operation of the transformer, attention should be paid to the inrush current, no-load current, primary and secondary voltages, and temperature, and the trial operation records should be kept.
The transformer can be put into load operation only after it has been operated without load for 24 hours and there are no abnormal conditions.

When drying, mercury thermometers are not allowed to be used to measure temperature. Alcohol thermometers, resistance thermometers or temperature difference thermocouples should be used.

Motor test run
Inspections during trial operation
The rotation direction of the motor should meet the requirements and there should be no noise.
The commutator, slip rings and brushes are working normally
Check the motor temperature, there should be no overheating
Vibration should not be greater than the standard value
The temperature rise of sliding bearings and rolling bearings should not exceed the specified value
The first start of the motor is usually carried out under no-load conditions. The no-load running time is 2 hours, and the no-load current of the motor is recorded.
Inspection before trial operation
Use a 500V megger to measure the insulation resistance of the motor winding. For 380V asynchronous motor, it should not be less than 0.5MΩ
Check whether the motor is installed securely and whether all anchor bolts are tightened
The protective grounding wire of the motor must be connected reliably. The cross-section of the grounding wire must be no less than 4mm2 and must have a locking spring washer.
Check whether the coupling between the motor and the transmission machinery is installed properly
Check whether the motor power switch, starting equipment, and control device are verified. Is the fuse selection qualified? Is the thermal relay adjusted properly? Is the short circuit release setting correct?
Turn on the power and check whether the motor's rotation is correct. If it is incorrect, just swap the two power cords on the power supply side or the motor junction box side.
For wound motors, slip rings and brushes should also be checked

Wire connection
Each conductor is only allowed to have one joint within each span, but conductors and lightning protection wires are not allowed to have joints where they cross roads, rivers, railways, important buildings, power lines and communication lines, etc.
Wires of different materials, different cross-sections or different twisting directions can only be connected within the jumper on the pole.
The mechanical strength of the joint shall not be less than 90% of the strength of the conductor itself. The resistance does not exceed 1.2 times the resistance of the same length of wire
Jumper connections at tension poles, branch poles, etc. can be connected using T-shaped wire frames and parallel groove wire clips.
The crimping method of overhead lines can be divided into clamping connection, hydraulic connection and explosion pressure connection.

Measure the insulation resistance of insulators and lines
Insulation resistance measurement of suspension insulators and post insulators
The insulation resistance value of each suspension insulator should not be less than 300MΩ
The insulation resistance value of pillar insulators for 35kV and below should not be less than 500MΩ
Use a 2500V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance value of the insulator. You can spot check 10% of the products in the same batch.
Rod insulators are not subject to this test
AC withstand voltage test of suspension insulators and pillar insulators
Pillar insulators of 35kV and below can be tested together after the busbar is installed. The test voltage should comply with the power frequency withstand voltage test voltage standards for high-voltage electrical equipment insulation.
The AC withstand voltage test value of pillar insulators of 35kV and below should comply with regulations, and the line insulation resistance value should be measured and recorded.
Measuring the power frequency parameters of lines above 35kV can be carried out according to professional requirements such as relay protection and overvoltage.
Check that the phases on both sides of the line should be consistent

Settings of lightning-terminating wires for transmission lines with different voltage levels
For power transmission lines of 500kV and above, double lightning lines should be installed on the entire line, and the higher the transmission line, the smaller the protection angle.
For 220~330kV lines, double lightning wires should be installed on the entire line. The protection angle of the lightning wires on the towers for the conductors is 20°~30°.
110kV lines are equipped with lightning lines along the entire line, and double lightning lines are used in areas with particularly severe lightning strikes. In areas with few minefields or areas with light lightning activity, lightning wires may not be erected along the lines, but the towers should still be grounded along with the foundation.
Lightning protection measures for power plants and substations
Use lightning rods or wires to prevent direct lightning strikes
Use air-termination devices to limit the overvoltage amplitude of intruding lightning waves. Valve-type air-termination devices are usually used in substations. Power stations generally use metal oxide air terminals
On the incoming lines close to the substation, a 1~2km lightning line protection must be erected to limit the lightning current flowing through the connector and limit the steepness of the intrusion wave
