Oral and maxillofacial surgery anesthesia is difficult and risky. This chapter focuses on three aspects of general anesthesia, local anesthesia and analgesia. Anesthesia is a reversible functional suppression of the central nervous system and/or peripheral nervous system produced by drugs or other methods. This suppression is mainly characterized by the loss of sensation, especially pain.
