MindMap Gallery Alexander the Great's Road of Conquest
Alexander the Great was tutored by Aristotle in his early years and became king of Macedonia at a young age. He quickly consolidated his power and embarked on a campaign to unify Greece. In a series of battles against the Persian Empire, including the Battle of Granicus, the Battle of Issus, and the Battle of Gaugamela, Alexander emerged victorious, capturing the Persian capitals of Babylon and Susa, and eventually reaching India. After conquering the Persian Empire, Alexander turned his attention to the east, invading Egypt and establishing Alexandria. He continued his conquests in Asia, reaching as far as the Indian subcontinent before turning back.
